The importance of action
Cannot be overstated
(except when it is,) and yet
Still it is not really
The theatricality of the thing that matters,
But how much you can get away
With it. The moves don't matter so much.
The more you believe in something
the more brittle you become - beliefs
Only live for themselves, at least
That's how it always shakes out
In the long run.
And so even as the world
and we all seem to spin,
Both the beauty and the horror
Of our shiny orb is this: that some things
Nonetheless appear to persist.
Sometimes we still try to believe
them. Mostly we try to deny this.
